Abu-Ghazaleh Discusses Areas of Cooperation with Qatar’s Dar Al-Sharq Group in Media and Social Responsibility

DOHA - HE Dr. Talal Abu-Ghazaleh, founder and chairman of Talal Abu-Ghazaleh Global (TAG.Global), and HE Dr. Sheikh Thani bin Ali Al-Thani, chairman of Social Responsibility Committee at Doha-based Dar Al-Sharq Group, discussed means of cooperation in the social responsibility field as well as means of expanding and developing the Committee’s work and activities.

Moreover, the two parties discussed exchanging expertise and cooperation in the media field.

During the meeting, Sheikh Al-Thani reviewed the Committee’s exerted efforts since its inception in consolidating the concept of Social Responsibility and motivating corporate, community institutions and individuals to support creative community initiatives. 

Sheikh Al-Thani praised the role of Dr. Abu-Ghazaleh and TAG.Global in the economic, social and community fields and the unlimited support provided to the Committee, expressing hopes in coordinating efforts and enhancing cooperation between both parties in the upcoming period.  

Moreover, Dr. Sheikh Al-Thani presented a copy of the Social Responsibility Supplement issued by Al-Sharq introducing the concept and importance of Social Responsibility.

For his part, Dr. Abu-Ghazaleh expressed his pride in working effectively in the field of social responsibility for its significant role in the progress of societies, commending the issuance of the Social Responsibility Supplement for its importance in enhancing the Committee’s work and promoting the activities it conducts.

Dr. Abu-Ghazaleh called for continuous cooperation and coordination between TAG.Global and Dar Al-Sharq Group by signing a Memorandum of Understanding to strengthen the relationship between the two institutions in the fields of training, qualification, social responsibility, intellectual property and other activities. 

Moreover, Dr. Abu-Ghazaleh reviewed TAG.Global’s efforts in different fields, noting that TAG.Global plays an active role since more than eight years on introducing and disseminating the concept of social responsibility based on a non-profit philosophy. He pointed out that TAG.Global has recently produced a special tablet device to serve the community, envisioned to become a school bag with international specifications, and competitive prices, as a part of the social responsibility conducted by TAG.Global. 

Meanwhile, Mr. Jassim Ibrahim Fakhro, assistant to the CEO of Dar Al Sharq Group, expressed his happiness for Dr. Abu-Ghazaleh’s acceptance to participate at Dar-Al Sharq conference as a keynote speaker which will be held in collaboration with the CSR Committee, highlighting Dr. Abu-Ghazaleh’s active contributions in community service in addition to his inspiration as a role model and as one of the most admired people at all level.

Fakhro stressed that Dar-Al Sharq Group strives to maintain cooperation and partnership with TAG.Global within the framework of plans and programs that aim at further developing and activating the role of Dar-Al Sharq and expanding its network.
