IASCA Holds “Audit and Risk-Based Internal Control”

The International Arab Society of Certified Accountants (IASCA) held a specialized course entitled “Audit and Risk-Based Internal Control” at the headquarters of the Audit Bureau. The course was attended by 162 trainees from various ministries and state institutions and departments.

The course was held in implementation of the recommendations of a seminar held by IASCA at the Audit Bureau in relation to the International Public Sector Accounting Standards (IPSASs).

The course modules focused on the concept of internal control, types of audit, and international standards on auditing, evaluation of control environment, internal control reports and audit risks.

Such workshops and training courses contribute to promoting awareness. In addition, the adoption of IPSASs provides a consistent accounting reference as they cover the accounts of ministries, state institutions and departments and public companies, as well as the calculation of the deficit in the fiscal budget.
